Many of the men who served our country find themselves falling upon hard times in their later years. Asheville, NC, however has some of the finest facilities for veterans including a very large Veteran's Hospital. When you encounter a vet on the streets of Asheville, tell him thanks. They keep us free.

John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
