Artist's Description

Asheville North Carolina is home to artists, musicians, and characters of all sorts. The eclectic life here is what makes the town so awesome. On a Friday night, I visited downtown for the Drum Circle and the great entertainment. These two gentlemen were playing chess at Pritchard Park where the pounding rhythm of the drums permeates the air. The chess stations were modeled after those in New York's Central Park. What a great place to be!

His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints. Haldane is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association (CNPA).
