Description
The old covered Sunday River Bridge is an icon of Western Maine. Located in Newry, near Bethel, Maine, it holds memories of my childhood and fishing with my dad, siblings, cousins, uncle, and grandfather. Dad's ashes are here, thanks to my sister. I created this artwork from a photo I took in June, 2013.

John, thank you so much for this personal retrospective of Maine and “Sunday rides”. Covered bridges, roadside farm stands, local dairy ice cream treats were “family vacations” of many a Sunday afternoon, once upon a time. Thank you for your entries which are very meaningful to me. LF
